The first Fencing World Cup of 2022 among men will be held in Tbilisi on January 14-16. Officially it became known about this today, earlier it was decided that on January 14-16, the same competitions among women will be held in the capital of Georgia. Algeria was supposed to host the men's world championship on the same dates, but the FIE canceled this decision and granted the Georgian Fencing Federation the right to host this tournament for both women and men. Let us remind you that five World Cups are held in all three types of fencing during the season. In 2022, the women's world saber championship will be held in Tbilisi, Plovdiv, Athens, Sint-Niklaas and Tunisia, while the men's world championship will be held in Tbilisi, Warsaw, Padua, Budapest and Madrid.
