On April 19-21, the Georgian fencing championship will take place in Tbilisi in the fencing hall of the Olympic champion Nugzar Asatiani.

The championship of independent Georgia has been held since 1992 ... The first championship was held from March 31 to April 5 in Tbilisi. Since then, the country's main competition has been held annually, mainly in the spring.

Saber, women - Feodora Kakhiani became the champion most times (4-2015,2013,2010,2007). She also won the most, six medals (I-2015,2013,2010,2007. II-2008, III-2009).

Among women in epee fencing, Rusudan Gogiava's record has not been broken for a long time, she took first place four times (1999,1998,1996,1993), her record can be repeated by Maria Zakirchenko, leading in the number of medals 8- (I- 2018,2016,2013, II - 2017,2015,2012,2011. III - 2014)

Jemal Gamiashvili (1992,1994,1997) and Albrecht Albert (2007,2010,2011) took the 3-3 first places in the men's epee, David Arveladze has the most, eleven medals (I - 2014. II - 2008,2010, 2011, 2012. III - 2017,2016,2015,2005,2004,2003).
